Butter Braid® Pastries Fundraising Review & #Giveaway

I made this awesome pastry the other day and asked my hubby what he thought of it. He replied “haven’t you had one of those before?” The pastry was a Butter Braid®, a hand-braided pastry filled with fruit and cream fillings. Since 1991,Butter Braid® pastries fundraising has helped moms, volunteers, and nonprofit groups raise over $200 million to better kids, schools, and communities! Apparently some of that fundraising had gone to support something in my husband’s past but not my own. Boy, was I missing out but not just on the funds — the pastry is delicious!

Butter Braid® pastries comes frozen solid and you’ll need to plan ahead a little to enjoy it. That’s because the dough has to thaw and rise and it takes 8-10 hours. It’s completely worth it! If you want a breakfast pastry just set it out on a pan covered loosely with plastic wrap. If you’d rather have it as an after dinner treat, just set it out in the morning!

Butter Braid® Pastries Fundraising Review and Giveaway

Fundraising is just a part of life if you are a parent (and sometimes even when you’re not!). We all know that some fundraisers are better than others. Take Girl Scout cookies for example… you usually really want those cookies, and when it supports a great cause, it’s a double win. Well if you have a reason to raise funds anytime soon, I HIGHLY suggest using Butter Braid Brand Fundraising!

The fundraising itself seems very easy- they have the whole thing laid out, and you use a local fundraising representative that helps you with the whole process. I like that you deal with someone locally, not just a huge company that is far away and has so many different accounts on it’s plate. (pun intended)

As for the taste of Butter Braid… we first tried the strawberry cream cheese flavor. OMGEEEEE so delicious! Seriously, is there anything better than bread with a strawberry cream cheese filling? SO satisfying. These are great for company- stick in your freezer, and then 12 hours before you want to bake it let it thaw, then pop it in the oven. Delicious pastry, easy as pie. (again, pun intended)

Butter Braid® Frozen Pastry Review & Giveaway

by: Everything Mommyhood

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Butter Braid® pastries, and I had heard of them before as they are a sweet and simple fundraiser that I know a lot of people love. Who can turn down yummy baked pastries straight from the oven? I know my family couldn’t, so that’s why I said yes when they offered to send me their most popular flavors. I love serving my family a yummy dessert after a home cooked meal and I love that these are cooked at home to give that.

The One and Only Butter Braid® Frozen Pastry Dough | Review + A Giveaway

by IHeart-Motherhood

Anyone and everyone who knows me is very aware of my sweet tooth, I love sweets, they are my weakness! I first heard about Butter Braid® pastries a few weeks ago and I really wanted to give them a try! Well guess what?! I received not just one, but six mouth watering flavors of Butter Braid® pastries!

I was sent:

  • Strawberry & Cream Cheese
  • Cinnamon
  • Apple
  • Double Chocolate
  • Raspberry
  • Blueberry & Cream Cheese

The one-and only Butter Braid® pastry is hand-braided and filled with delicious fruit and cream fillings. Since 1991 Butter Braid brand fundraising has helped mom's, volunteers, and nonprofit groups raise over $165 million to better kids, schools, and communities!

Butter Braid® pastries are perfect for snack, breakfast or dessert! I couldn't wait to open up my package once it arrived, I immediately placed all six of my frozen pastries in the freezer - they have to stay frozen until your ready to use!

I had my heart set on Strawberries & Cream Cheese, so I took the frozen braided pastry out of the freezer and removed it from the package. I set the icing packet aside, and placed my pastry on a baking sheet. Next, I loosely covered the pastry with plastic wrap and allowed it to thaw. It will take about 8 to 12 hours for it to rise at room temperature - perfect time to do this is overnight!

Golden Ticket Sweepstakes Winner Takes Trip!

Judy Quiter, from Navasota, Texas, was the lucky winner of the Country Maid sponsored, Butter Braid® brand Golden Ticket Sweepstakes. The sweepstakes, which began in 2011 and ended in 2012, was in celebration of both Country Maid’s and the Butter Braid® brand’s 20th Anniversary!

Judy, along with her 3 guests, Denise Lovelace, Sherri Dicus, and Amy Kaase arrived in West Bend, IA on Friday, February 1. The first leg of the trip and prize was to see where and how Butter Braid® brand pastries were made. While in West Bend, Judy and guests also visited the Historical Society, the Grotto of Redemption, and a few shops around town before heading to Orlando, Florida for 4 days and 3 nights. The group stayed at Disney’s All-Star Movies resort.

Judy’s first experience with Butter Braid® brand pastries was in 2011 when a co-worker’s 4-year-old daughter was selling them for a fundraiser through the daycare. Judy had never heard of Butter Braid® brand pastries before, but purchased two of them. When the pastries were delivered, Judy saw the promotion for the Golden Ticket Sweepstakes. Although there was no golden ticket inside, Judy went online to enter the sweepstakes. Country Maid later notified Judy that she had won following the random drawing among all entrants.

Judy and guests are now avid fans of Butter Braid® brand pastries and thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with the team members at Country Maid, Inc. along with the people and sights of West Bend.
