Butter Braid® Pastries and Pastry Rolls must be kept frozen until you are ready to bake.
Our pastries can be out of the freezer for a short period of time if necessary. If a pastry has started the rising process (if it has begun to expand), it cannot be refrozen without impacting the performance of the product. There are no food safety issues if the product is refrozen during the rising process; however, being a yeast-based product, it will most likely not perform as expected when you go to prepare the pastry.
Go to our Products page and click on the flavor of the pastry or pastry roll you are going to bake. There you will find detailed baking instructions for that particular product.
Butter Braid® Pastries are meant to be shared! The recommended serving size, per the FDA, is a 2 oz. slice. Based on that recommendation, a standard braided pastry should serve 11.
