March is here which means it’s time for a brand-new “Dealership Spotlight” feature. This month, we’re going to Tennessee to introduce you to Tasty Twisters Fundraising. Tasty Twisters joined the Butter Braid® Fundraising team in 2006. Gabe and Brooklynn Walker are the passionate duo behind this Southeastern dealership. Taking over from Gabe’s mom, Darla Walker, in 2023, they’re dedicated to continuing her heartfelt legacy of giving back. You see, Tasty Twisters is about more than just raising funds. It’s about creating opportunities and fulfilling dreams for all the groups it works with.
History
Tasty Twisters Fundraising began its journey in 2006 under the leadership of Darla Walker. Darla has always been a dedicated member of her community with a passion for supporting local groups. Darla’s commitment to making a difference in the lives of others paved the way for Tasty Twisters to become a cornerstone of fundraising in Tennessee. In 2023, Darla passed the torch to her son, Gabe, and his wife, Brooklynn, who eagerly took up the mantle to continue her legacy.
Thanks to Darla’s history with Butter Braid® Pastries, Gabe spent most of his childhood around the fundraising industry. That’s how he knew this business would be the perfect opportunity for him and Brooklynn to show their passion for helping others. Now operating in Harrison, TN, the two have embraced their new careers and are looking forward to infusing their own energy and ideas into their dealership.
The Plan for Tasting Twisters Fundraising
Brooklynn and Gabe envision Tasty Twisters Fundraising as more than just a means to help groups raise funds. They see it as a platform to enact meaningful change in their community. Building on the foundation laid by Darla, they aim to expand the dealership’s reach and influence, forging deeper connections with local schools, groups, and organizations. They plan to do this by continuing to prioritize integrity, community, and generosity in all their endeavors. Through innovative fundraising strategies, enhanced community engagement, and a commitment to making a difference, Brooklynn and Gabe are determined to leave a lasting impact that extends far behind the realm of fundraising. Their goal is to create their own legacy of positive change and empowerment that will resonate throughout Harrison and beyond.
Fundraising Groups
For Gabe and Brooklynn, the most rewarding part of their job is the impact they have on their community. They find immense fulfillment in helping local groups achieve their fundraising goals, knowing that their efforts directly contribute to the betterment of education, sports, and community programs. Seeing the outcomes of these fundraising efforts, such as students going on transformative trips or schools acquiring much-needed resources, is incredibly gratifying.
In the year since Gabe and Brooklynn took over, Tasty Twisters Fundraising has raised nearly $100,000 for its groups. These funds have contributed to many essential causes like school trips, facility upgrades, team uniforms, and so much more.
