Butter Braid® Pastry Bites

Makes 12 bites per Butter Braid® pastry

Ingredients
  • 1 Apple Butter Braid pastry
  • 1/2 cup sugar
Step-by-step directions
  1. Set Butter Braid pastry out for 2 hours
  2. Unbraid pastry and remove filling. Form the filling into 12 balls and place on a flat, plastic surface. Put in freezer for 2 hours. Let dough continue to rise.
  3. Once balls are frozen, cut “fingers” off pastry dough. Form into flat circles and wrap around the frozen filling balls.
  4. You can either fry them at this time or them place in the freezer for later use.
  5. When ready to cook, prepare fryer and oil as normal.
  6. Cook pastry bites for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Roll the pastry bites in sugar
  8. Drizzle icing on top or use as a dip for your Butter Braid pastry bites!

Ingredients
  • 1 Apple Butter Braid® pastry
  • Flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • Decorating sugar crystals
  • Caramel sauce (for dipping)
Step-by-step directions
  1. Let your Butter Braid pastry rise for 8-12 hours
  2. Place pastry on floured surface with pastry bottom up
  3. Sprinkle pastry with flour and roll out thin
  4. Mix 1 egg and 1 Tbsp. water to create egg wash
  5. Brush pastry with egg wash
  6. Sprinkle with 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  7. Sprinkle with decorating sugar crystals
  8. Cut in 1/2″ stripes
  9. Cut the stripes in half
  10. Place fries on parchment-lined pan
  11. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes
  12. Serve with caramel sauce. Enjoy your apple pastry fries!

Ingredients
  • 1 Cream Cheese Butter Braid pastry
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup onions, finely diced
  • ½ cup Frank’s hot sauce
  • ¾ packet ranch dressing mix
  • 8 oz. cooked chicken, finely diced
  • ½ cup ranch dressing (for dipping)
  • Cilantro for garnish
Step-by-step directions
  1. Let your Butter Braid pastry raise for 10 hours
  2. Preheat oven to 350º
  3. Unbraid pastry and scoop out cream cheese filling
  4. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese filling, cream cheese, ranch seasoning, onions, hot sauce, and chicken. Mix well.
  5. Spoon mixture onto pastry and re-braid it
  6. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes or until golden brown
  7. Garnish with cilantro and dip in ranch dressing.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup honey mustard
  • 6 slices of Monterey Jack cheese
  • 12 slices bacon, fried
  • 1 Gala apple, cored and cut into 12 slices
Step-by-step directions
  1. Take pastry out of packaging and let it rise for 8-12 hours
  2. Bake Butter Braid pastry as directed on package
  3. Cut pastry in half horizontally then slice both the halves into 6 pieces to make the top and bottom of the sandwich
  4. Spread honey mustard on the bottom halves
  5. Fold each piece of cheese in half vertically and place them on each bottom piece of the pastry
  6. Layer each bottom half with two pieces of bacon and two apple slices
  7. Top with the other half of the pastry
  8. Place in greased baking pan and bake at 350º for 8-10 minutes.
  9. Enjoy your braided apple bacon melt!

Ingredients
  • 2 Cinnamon Butter Braid pastries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter
Step-by-step directions
  1. Thaw 2 Cinnamon Butter Braid pastries for 8-10 hours.
  2. Spray Bundt pan with cooking spray.
  3. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon together.
  4. Cut pastries into 2″ pieces and place in pan layering and sprinkling with cinnamon and sugar. (Approximately 6 layers)
  5. Melt the butter and stir in 1/2 cup sugar and brown sugar; pour on top of pastry
  6. Bake at 350° for about 45 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Allow to slightly cool and flip onto serving tray.
  8. Serve and enjoy your glazed monkey bread!

  3. Let your pastry cool. Then cut top off and set aside.
  4. Put a layer of graham crackers on the bottom half of the pastry
